GBG Water Bottle: How it Works

GBG Water Filtration SystemGBG Water Bottle: How it Works

According to the manufacturers, the GBG Water Filtration System works to achieve the following:

* Removal of heavy metals
* Elimination of microbiological pathogens
* Eradication of chemicals
* Riddance of unpleasant tastes and odors

Adsorption

GBG asserts that the technology behind its water filtration system was spawned as a result of testing and research conducted by water purification specialists. The structures within the filter are said to remove contaminants through a process known as adsorption which occurs when substances are attracted to the surface of the filter on a molecular level.

The Filtration Process

When the GBG Water Bottle is pressed, the action forces the source water through the filter. The elements which comprise the filter are said to promote ionic absorption of pollutants such as mercury, lead, copper, chromium, cadmium, aluminum, and other harmful heavy metals. According to GBG, the extremely small size of the pores in the filter work well to capture unwanted micro-organisms.
